Not every rebuild is a rescue. The Launceston Distillery site worked. Orders came through, the pages loaded, nothing was on fire. It just did not do the whisky justice, and that is a real problem when the whisky is award-winning single malt distilled in a 1940s aircraft hangar.
That is most sites, in our experience. Functional and dated is a far more common starting position than broken, and pretending otherwise would be less useful to anyone reading this.
So the work was presentation and customer experience rather than repair. The shop had to handle a genuine range: variable products across bottle sizes, the signature range separated from special releases, gifts, and limited runs that actually sell out. Tours and tastings sell alongside the bottles without either one getting in the other’s way. And the awards keep coming, so there is a news engine behind them that the team runs themselves.
It looks like the whisky now
Award-winning single malt deserves a site that carries the same weight, and the old one did not.
A shop that handles a real range
Variable products across sizes, the signature range and special releases kept separate, gifts, and limited runs that sell out.
Tours sold alongside bottles
Tastings and distillery tours are priced and bookable without competing with the shop.
Somewhere to put the medals
A news engine, because a distillery that keeps winning awards needs to be able to say so without calling a developer.
