Speargrass Distillery
Gin and vodka from the Top End, made for regular moments.
VISIT SPEARGRASS.AU↗
Speargrass makes a gin and a vodka in Darwin. Two products. That is the whole range, and it is the whole design problem.
A distillery with thirty releases can build a site out of its catalogue. A distillery with two has to build one out of its personality, or it ends up as a landing page with two bottles on it. So the voice does the work here, and the copy sounds like the Top End rather than like every other spirits brand.
Underneath that it is a proper alcohol shop: licence display, age requirements, and interstate shipping handled as part of the build. And because the distillery is also a venue, the showroom hours, tours, tastings and functions bookings had to sit alongside retail without either one burying the other.
Two products, a whole personality
With a small range the site cannot lean on the catalogue, so the brand voice had to carry it. The copy sounds like the Top End, not like a spirits template.
Alcohol e-commerce done properly
Liquor licence display, age requirements and interstate shipping handled as part of the build rather than bolted on afterwards.
A distillery that is also a venue
Showroom hours, tours and tastings, and functions bookings sit alongside the shop without cluttering it.
